Historical Wood Matching
Hand-Rubbed Oils
Honoring Original Joinery
I rebuild worn drawer runners, loose joints, and broken spindles using matching historical wood species to guarantee lasting structural integrity.
I apply traditional hand-rubbed oil finishes that preserve the original wood grain and let the fibers breathe as well as hand rubbed poly finishes.
I reject modern synthetic sprays and quick fixes, choosing instead to honor the original craftsman's joinery on every piece.

How I repair and restore your furniture.
Every piece that enters my shop is assessed for structural accuracy. I source matching wood species and carefully disassemble only what is necessary to rebuild structural integrity from the inside out.
I finish with multiple coats of hand-rubbed oils, curing each layer slowly under workshop window light. This patient process ensures your furniture survives to be loved by the next generation. In addition, I also apply hand rubbed polyurethanes for a more modern, glossy, easy to clean finish.
Ted rebuilt the drawer runners on my grandfather's 1880s oak dresser. It slides smoothly now, yet every mark of its history remains completely intact.
